No Spring Show A decision not to hold . the spring show this year was made at a meeting of the Hawke’s Bay A. and P. Society. Advice was received on Saturday that it was not likely that the grounds would be required for military purposes this year, and in face of that the executive made a recommendation that the show be held, but this was opposed by the meeting. Theft of Bridle . For stealing a bridle valued at £l, the property of Kawhia Milner, Taukana Te Purei was sentenced to imprisonment for one month before Messrs. W. H. O. Johnston and I. S. C. Dalgairns, J.P's, in the Ruatoria Magistrate’s Court. The accused had been convicted on several previous occasions. In the Waipiro Bay Magistrate’s Court before Messrs. G. M. Coleman and W. S. Thompson, J.P’s, Thomas George Joyce was fined £3 for drunkenness and disorderly behaviour in the Gaiety Theatre on June 27, and Riwai Paurakau, alias Hughi.e Paurakau.. alias Rangiwai, for obstructing the police, was admitted to probation for two years on conditions that he take out a prohibition order against himself and renew it for the term of probation. ,
