DEVASTATED AREAS ANGLO-U.S. TALKS (11.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, July 1. The Secretary of State, Mr. Cordell Hull, at a press conference, disclosed that he had opened discussions with Sir Frederick Leith-Ross, chief economic adviser to the British Government, for the relief of devastated war areas. Mr. Hull said the discussions include plans for making available food, medicines and other relief materials in the post-war era.
