ALLIES AND JAPANESE (10.39 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 29. The Italian ship Conte Verde has departed for Shanghai with 636 American and other Allied nationals en route to Lourenco Marques, in Portuguese East Africa. All are former residents of Shanghai, Nanking, Hankow, and Hainan Island. It is reported that the Asam Maru will soon arrive at Hong Kong to take on enemy nationals.
