Blinded for life in an air raid cm Brighton a year ago, Mrs. Olive Pauline Twoll, aged 3(1, mother of six children, is now in charge of her home again. In the raid in which she lost her eyesight Mrs Twell suffered 300 wounds. Doctors predicted she had only a few hours to live. When she recovered they termed her "our miracle.”
During three months in hospital she taught herself Braille and learned to play whist and eribbage. She receives a full pension from the Government. Four of Mrs. Twells children are evacuated to Yorkshire, a fifth is in hospital and four-vear-old Rene, the youngest, helps her mother.
