RAID ON NEW GUINEA
(Reed. Dec. 24, 2.40 p.m.) BATAVIA, Dec. 23.
Netherlands East Indies bombers attacked a Japanese fleet concentration off Davao. A 10,000-ton tanker was directly hit and set ablaze. Japanese planes attacked Sorong, New Guinea, but were driven off by Netherlands East Indies fighters.
