VALUABLE FIGHTING UNIT

The indomitable spirit of Greece if aptly shown in official communiques both by Britain and Russia, says a British official wireless message. The Admiralty publishes an extract from a report by fhe Commander-in-Chi4: in the Mediterranean, Admiral Sii Andrew Cunningham, stating that the Greek'Fleet which arrived in Alexandria in April"' has been acting in concert .with the Mediterranean Fleet, itne. has become a “valuable fighting unit in the Allied cauSfe.” I, ‘ u
The report adds: “Greek submarines apd destroyers have taken their full share of patrols. The submarines have recently had their successes against the enemy and the destroyers have done invaluable work in escort duty.”
A Russian Information Bureau communique' draws attention r to the notable work ‘ done by Gi cek guerrillas in their own country. Near Konitsa, in the Northern Epirus, they successfully attacked an Italian infantry regiment. At Corfu a small Italian vessel was scuttled by Greek while in a serious clash between Italians and Greek guerrillas at Fiorina the Italians s'ufTered heavy losses.
