Maori Territorial Draft
A draft of 25 Maori Territorial volunteers assembled overnight at Poho-o-Rawiri, and early this morning left Gisborne for Wairoa, en route to Dannevirke. They will undergo three months’ intensive training there, and it is expected that they will become the nucleus of a Maori Territorial company for the Gisborne-East Coast sub-area.
