Closing of Butchers’ Shops
A suggestion that butchers’ shops should open on the Saturdays following Christmas and New Year, as it would be a matter of great inconvenience to housewives if they were closed for the four consecutive days on each, occasion, was incorporated i in a motion passed unanimously at the Auckland branch jneeting of the National Council of Women.
