BARTLETTS NEWS

Five tables were in use at the progressive five hundred evening held by the Bartletts Social Club in the Y.M.C.A. supper-room. Successful prize-winners were Mrs. W. Brown, in the ladies’ section, and Mr. A. Hewson, in the gentlemen’s. Prizes also were awarded to Mrs. A. Hewson and Mr. ,T. Bothamley. Mr. H. Clarke was successful in winning the prize in the special competition. Supper was served by the ladies at the conclusion of play. Mrs. G. Priestley, who has been staying with her sister, Mrs. O. Heikell, for some weeks, has left for Wellington, where she will be engaged with the Women’s Air Auxiliary Force at Rongotai air station.
