CHOSEN FOR SERVICE
NEW V.A.D. MEMBERS MIDDLE EAST ZONE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The personnel of a voluntary aid detachment of 182 women for service in the Middle East with the 2nd N.Z.E.F. is likely to be announced early in the coming week. Nominations for inclusion in the unit were considered in Wellington yesterday by a special committee appointed for the purpose.
The names of the women selected have been submitted to the Army Department, which will arrange to have them medically examined. Provided they pass the prescribed medical test, they will be accepted for service. Reserves over and above tho'se actually required have been provisionally selected to allow for medical rejects.
