HARPOON ACCIDENT

The gun broke from its mounting'as it was fired and struck Mr. Irving a heavy blow and .knocked him over the side of the. launch into the water. He was rescued by. Mr. H. King, who was operating the launch, and taken to Russell' and admitted to Kawakawa Hospital. Three of his ribs were fractured by the blow.
