MEAT BOARD MEMBER
MR. F. C. JOHNSTONE The appointment of Mr. Frederick Campbell Johnstone, of Waitetuna, as a member of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, in place of the late Mr. H. E. Worsp, has been announced. Mr. Johnstone, who is a well-known Waikato sheepfarmer, is the son of the late Mr. Campbell Johnstone, of Whatawhata, and is 36. Mr. Johnstone is a member of the Raglan County Council, vice-president of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Sheepowners’ Federation, a member of the Waikato Primary Producers’ Council and a director of G. W. Vercoe and Company, Limited, auctioneers, Hamilton. He has had considerable success as a breeder of pedigree Romney sheep. Mr. Johnstone holds a commission in the Waikato Mounted Rifles and volunteered for overseas service at the outbreak of the war. He was rejected medically unfit.
