GRAND LODGE MEETS
DOMINION ASSEMBLY (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The annual communication of the Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand was held to-day. The proceedings opened with a business session. There are 306 lodges under the jurisdiction of the grand lodge, practically all being represented by sitting masters or delegates. The grand master, Mr. C. L. MacDiarmid, of Hamilton, who presided was unanimously re-elected as head of the craft in the Dominion. Appointments to other important offices which are made by the grand master under his prerogative powers will be announced at the installation ceremony to-night. The business session was devoted mainly to the consideration of the financial administration of the craft and notable charitable and philipithropic institutions its maintains. Wellington was chosen for the 1942 communication, which will coincide with the celebration of the centenary of Freemasonry in New Zealand.
