A young Maori girl was drowned, ih the Waahi stream, Iluntly. Wounds on the face suggested that the child in falling had struck the plank used by the Maoris in the locality to cross the stream. The victim was Parelia Punekai, aged three, daughter of Mrs. Riha Punekai, of Waahi Pa. " --
