BURGLAR SENTENCED
TWO YEARS IN BORSTAL (Per Pre«s Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. Prisoners were • sentenced by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, in the Supreme Court this morning. Eric. Vernon Brooks, aged 19, for breaking, entering and theft at Invercargill, was sentenced to two years’ detention in a Borstal institution. William Ernest McNaught, aged 19,* who was similarly charged, was admitted to probation for 12 months.
