MANUTUKE EFFORT
SCHOOL DENTAL CLINIC A very successful function conducted in the Manutuke Hall by the school-children and the Manutuke School Committee, resulted in the funds for the establishment of the dental clinic benefiting to the extent of over £24. The occasion was the holding of the annual school flower show and, as usual, this was well up to the standard reached in previous years. Several competitions and stalls for the sale of work were conducted under the auspices of the school committee, and a programme of singing, dancing, and acting was contributed by the children. At the conclusion of the evening, Mr. H. Maynard, chairman of. the school committee, thanked all those who had worked hard to make the function a success. Special thanks were due to Mrs. W. Clark and Mr. F. R. Piercy for judging the exhibits, Mrs. W. Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Piercy, and Mr. and Mrs. Hebenton for donating prizes for the show, M.V. J. E. Hepburn, Messrs. R. K. Hepburn and Piercy for providing the prizes for the estimating competitions, and to all those, who contriDuted articles for the stalls.
