INTER-HOUSE SPORTS
BIG DAY IN WAIROA LARGE CROWD ATTENDS (Herald Correspondent.) Wairoa’s third annual inter-house sports carnival on Saturday attracted an attendance at the two sessions of 2500 persons and. in brilliant weather, was an outstanding success. Led by the Wairoa Municipal Band, there was a procession from Alexandra Park to Lambton Square both in the afternoon ant: evening, and the general smartness in turnout of the girls and their manoeuvres were excellent: Included in the programme was tin exhibition of rhythm marching, in V formation, by a large team of girls from Hukarere. At the conclusion of the programme the president of the sports club, Mr. J. R. Gillespie. thanked all who had assisted to run the carnival and congratulated all who had taken part.
