The Tass agency. quoted a Geneva report that .German judges in Czechoslovakia are sentencing students who participate' in political demonstrations to sterilisation. The number of sterilised students in Prague has reached several hundred. A Vichy report says that three shots were fired at the general secretary of the miners’ union when he was attending a funeral in Lille. All the shots missed. Twelve university professors have been removed from office because they are Freemasons. It is reported from Warsaw that a court-martial at Lodz sentenced to death five “brigands” who were charged with armed attacks on fai'ms. Nine others were imprisoned.
