HARD-HITTING TANKS

Reuter’s Cairo correspondent says that American tanks are bearing the brunt of the Libyan battle. They have proved fast, reliable and hardhitting. A United States military mission headed by Brigadier-General Maxwell, has arrived in Cairo to take charge of all phases of American aid to the British forces. Hundreds of American technicians are following The United States military attache in Egypt who travelled to the legation in a wagon bearing corps diplomatique number plates and 10 units, states that military observers accompanied the British advance.
