TENACIOUS DEFENCE "CAPTURING PRISONERS”. (Reed. Nov. 22, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 21. An Italian communique issued in Rome states: “Further developments have occurred on the Marmarica front. After tenaciously holding the enemy German and Italian armoured forces counter-attacked and repulsed the enemy. Our armoured units are destroying numerous tanks and capturing prisoners. Violent artillery duels are taking place on the Tobruk front.” The Italian air force “attacked Malta day and night.”
