FUNERAL IN SYDNEY
FIRST LABOUR PREMIER (Reed. Nov. 21, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 20. Large crowds lined the route of the State funeral of the first Labour Prime Minister, Mr. John Christian Watson. The palLbearers included Mr. Watson’s early Labour colleagues, Mr. W. M. Hughes, Sir Joseph Cook, ex-Senator Gardiner, Mr. Arthur Griffith, as well as the Prime Minister, Mr. J. Curtin, and the Premier of New South Wales, Mr. W. J. McKell.
