BRITAIN’S DECISION

LEAVE TALKS TO U.S. STAND BEHIND AMERICA (Revd. Nov. 21, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 20. Britain is content to leave discussions between America and Japan in America’s hands, says the diplomatic correspondent of the- Daily Telegraph. Japan did her utmost to persuade Britain that she is so deeply involved that British diplomats should participate in the discussions, but London thinks that there is much wisdom in the adage “too many cooks spoil the broth,” and Britain will be four-square behind America whatever the decision. The Tokio correspondent of the Associated Press of Lpreat Britain says that the publication of Mr. Miyazawa’s speech to the Diet was banned to-day, creating a sensation. No hint of the nature of the speech was permitted to reach the public, but it was declared “improper for this session.”

Mr. Miyazawa resigned following his appearance before the House disciplining committee. It is believed that 19 members have resigned from the Throne Rule Assistance Group in sympathy with Mr. Miyazawa.

POST IN THAILAND TOKIO, Nov. 18. The spokesman of the Japanese Government Information Bureau, Mr. Koh Ishii, has been appointed counsellor in the Japanese Embassy at Bangkok. His successor is Mr. Tomorazu Hori.
