AMERICAN MISSION
CONTACT IN RUSSIA (Reed. Nov. 20, noon) NEW YORK, Nov. 19. The New York Times’ Washington correspondent states that MajorGeneral John Greely, recently the commandant at Fort Sam Houston, one of the largest army posts, is scheduled to leave soon for Archangel, as the head of a large United States military mission to Russia, with the object of consulting the Soviet General Staff concerning military problems of mutual interest. The mission will include experts in tanks, air, engineering and communications.
Major-General Greely is a son of the Arctic explorer, Mr. Adolphus Greely.
