HOTEL GLASSES SCARCE
LONDON, Oct. 7. A glass of beer in some Cheltenham hotels will probably cost you Is 4d—until you drink up and hand glass back Ho the barmaid. Owing to the shortage of glasses and the heavy cost of replacements, several Cheltenham publicans now charge a shilling deposit on the glass, which is refunded on return.
