ARMY TAKES CONTROL
U.S. PLANE FACTORY SEQUEL TO DISPUTE (Reed. Nov. 1. 10.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Oct. 30. President Roosevelt directed the Secretary of War, Mr. H. L. Stimson, to take possession and operate the plant of Air Associates Incorporated at Bendix, New Jersey, where a dispute developed, over the reinstatement of strikers. The plant holds £1,250,000 wortn of war contracts. President Roosevelt’s secretary, Mr. Stephen Early, announced that the army will take charge and operate the plan as long as required.
