CHURCH BAZAAR (Herald Correspondent.) A most successful church bazaar was held by the Nuhaka Anglican Ladies’ Guild, and although the weather was not very good the effort resulted in over £24 being raised. The president, Mrs. P. J. Brewster, the secretary, Mrs. E. Ayling, and a band of willing helpers who met each month had worked hard to achieve this success. Thanks also were due to Mrs. E. Loader and Mr. J. Crombie for their co-operation. A combined meeting of the Anglican guild and church committee took place at “The Vicarage” on Wednesday, Mrs. P. J. Brewster occupying the chair. The chairman and secretary of the church committee were present and congratulated the guild on its financial success and co-opera-tion. Mrs. Brewster, on behalf of the guild, presented Mrs. S. Harrison with a small token of its appreciatiqn of her work in keeping the church in such splendid order. Mrs. Ilarrison suitably replied.
