FAREWELL PARTY (Herald Correspondent.) Miss Dawn Holder, who leaves Tolaga Bay shortly to take up a position in Wellington, was entertained by her many friends in the Reynolds Hall on Wednesday night. Dancing, competitions and vocal items were enjoyed, Mrs. B. Lincoln and Mr. Cameron providing the music, and extras being played by Miss L. Kelly. Mrs. McCullough and Mrs. B. Stewart gave vocal items, accompanied on the piano by Miss A. Moore. A Monte Carlo foxtrot was won by Miss O. Lincoln and Mr. K. McCreedy and the spot waltz by Miss C. Lainge and Mr. A. Lockwood. The supper tables were beautifully decorated with bowls of flowers. A delicious supper was served . Miss Holder, who looked charming in a mauve chiffon evening frock relieved with silver embroidery, was presented by Mr. McCullough, on behalf of all present, with a solid leather travelling case. Mr. Holder replied on behalf of his daughter. Mrs. Holder was attired in floral marocain in tones of green and white.

Officers and N.C.O.s of the Tolaga Bay Home Guard units gathered at the Reynolds Hall on Wednesday evening to meet Captain G. W. King, adjutant of the No. 7A group Home Guard. Captain King gave an interesting address on organisation and training.
