ARTILLERY DUELS
GARRISON AT TOBRUK (Reed. Aug. 20, 11.30 a.m.) *-? LONDON, Aug. 19. A communique issued by General Headquarters, Cairo, states: “At Tobruk there was heavy enemy shellfire on one sector of the defences. Our artillery obtained many direct hits on parties of the enemy. The Western Desert situation remains unchanged.”
