PRODUCE MARKETS LITTLE CHANGE NOTED Little change has been noted in the grain and produce markets in Gisborne recently, and the quiet tone existing for some time continues. A few small lots of early-shelled maize are coming into store to be held until re quired, but practically no business has been done with outside centres except for deliveries in September, October anti Novern her, and only comparatively small numberr of orders have been taken. The price ior September is 5s Sd, for October 5s lOd, and for November 5s lid, f.0.b., Gisborne. The demand for chalf, which has been ■.toady for some weeks, is starting to iiminish now with the additional growth of grass, but prices hold firm up to £ll a ton. Hay also is beginning to become less in demand without change in prices at 2s Cd to 3s a bale for meadow hay and 3s Cd to 4s for lucerne. Little activity is expected in the market 'or the small remaining stocks of Cape bar- • -K - e —for seed purposes.
