TWO FALLS TO ONE
ATKINS GETS VERDICT BOUT WITH INDIAN (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. In a professional wrestling bout Inst night Fred Atkins, of Australia, beat Jaget Singh, the Indian, by two falls to one. The contest was marked by much scientific wrestling crowded with incident. Atkins discarded the role of a "had man” and showed that he could do some straight wrestling. The Indian, who wrestled in bare feet, secured a fall in tile fifth round with a cobra hold. Atkins evened in the seventh with a dump and body press following a succession of iieavy rabbit-killers. Singh, still groggy, came out for the last round and after Atkins had delivered some severe elbow jolts the referee stopped the contest and awarded the decision to Atkins.
