PLEA FOR CHEERFULNESS
The belief that the people on the home front could best help the men of the armed forces by adopting a cheerful outlook was expressed by Mr Bryce C. Hart in an entertaining address on “Whirled Affairs” at a luncheon held by the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Auckland. Referring to a broadcast by men from a warship, the speaker stated that the tenor of the messages in almost every case was “Keep Your Chins Up.” By experience he had found that army life encouraged a happv outlook, and that the most cheerful citizens in the community today were returned soldiers and sailors.
