DUNLOP-PERDRIAU A net profit of £427,745 for the yeiir ended June ,30 is reported by the DimlopPordrimi Rubber Company, Limited, Melbourne, in a preliminary statement. This compares with the record profit of £439,598 in 1940 and £420,20.8 in 1939. The dividends proposed are 10 per cent or, preference shares and 7 per cent on ordinary shareß. Ordinary dividend is unchanged, 7 per cent having been maintained since 1937. WRIGHT, STEPHENSON Net profit of Wrlulit, Stephenson and Company, Limited, was £35,775 for the year ended June 30, an increase of £3012. The directors recommended unchnnfted dividends of 41 per cent per annum on preference shares (final 2J- per cent) and 5 per cent per annum on ordinary shares (final 2J per Cent). This will absorb £26,255. In addition it is proponed to place £41,807 to seneral reserve, makitif! a total of £70,000, and £3726 to dividend equalisation reserve, making a total of £50,000. A sum of £28,731. will remain to be carried forward, against £64,804 brought in. No doubt stimulated by the increased severity of petrol rationing, the demand for horses has become keener in the Waikato. At a sale in Clandelands last week, prices up to £47 were realised under animated competition. Useful farm sorts sold freely from £35 to £42.
