AHUWHENUA TROPHY
MAORI FARMERS’ CONTEST awards announced (Per Picas Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Ahmvhenua Trust Board announces that this year's award of the Ahuwhenua Trophy, the silver cup donated in 1933 by Lord Bledisloe lor annual competition among Maori farmers, has been made to Mr. Fred Amoamo, Omarumutu, a member of the Whakatohea tribe. Second place was awarded to Mr. J. D. Jones, Wainiiha, a member of the Maniapoto ifibe and third to Mr. Eruera Hoera, Takahue, a member of Ihe Te Arawa tribe.
