GERMANS BURN TOWN
REPRISAL ON SERBS GUERRILLA SABOTAGE (Reed. Aug. 18, 10 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 16. A communique issued in Belgrade announces that the Germans burned down the Serbian town ol Gola as a reprisal lor Yugoslav guerrilla attacks on German military trucks. An inquiry established that the population was aware of Communists' plans to attack the trucks and failed to warn the police. A fire caused explosions among stacks of munitions in certain houses, confirming the complicity of the townspeople.
