MONEY FOR WAR
LONDON SAVINGS GROUP LONDON, Aug. 11. The London Stock Exchange savings group has passed the £8,000.000 mark —the cost of a battleship—in its summer savings campaign. The group is now trying to raise by September 30 the cost of an aircraft carrier, a cruiser, a large destroyer, a submarine, corvette, motor torpedoboat, anti-submarine boat, bomber and medium tank.
