“MYSTERY KNIGHT”
SPECIAL SERVICE • LONDON, Aug. 13. When Mr. George Binney went to Buckingham Palace to see the King; ho left as Sir George Binney. He is Britain’s chief “mystery knight,” so called after the official announcement which cloaked his important work for the nation as “special services in the supply of valuable war material.” While at Oxford. Sir George Binney led an expedition to the Arctic, which was the first of several. Later he joined the United Steel Company. He has been associated with the Ministry of supply in its control of iron and steel since the outbreak of the war.
