BRITISH BATTLESHIP AMERICAN CRUISER PHOTOGRAPHS DISPLAYED (Reed. Aug. 16, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Aug. 15. White House has disclosed that at least one of the conferences between President Roosevelt and Mr. Winston Churchill occurred aboard the British battleship Prince of Wales. Photographs of the president and Prime Minister issued showed them aboard the battleship. One picture showed Mr. Churchill and Mr. Roosevelt with senior British and American military and naval chiefs aboard the American cruiser Augusta. The photograph portraying the President and Mr. Churchill aboard the Prince of Wales bore the caption: “Taken after church services." It was dated August 10.
