MATAWAI NEWS
(Herald Correspondent.) The parishioners’ meeting of St. Mary’s Church, Matawai, was held in “The Vicarage” on Tuesday night, there being only a small attendance, over which the Rev. J. D. G. Hodgson presided. The annual report and balance sheet were explained. Mr. C. V. Smith remains vicar’s warden and Mr. C. W. E. Korte people’s warden. The vicar expressed appreciation of the assistance given by the ladies' guild and of the hospitality extended to him in the district.
