OFFICERS RESIGN
AUCKLAND WATERSIDERS (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Since yesterday’s announcement that Mr. H. Barnes had been elected president of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union in succession to Mr. T. Solo l monl who had been appointed wharf superintendent, it has been learned that the walking delegate, the secretary and the executive of the branch have resigned. They stated that their action is dictated by a policy matter and not by antagonism towards the new president. All offer themselves for re-election. A ballot will be held next week to fill the vacancies.
