MINING TOWN DOCTOR
HOPES FOR SERVICES (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. In a short statement yesterday the Minister of Health, the Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer, said that negotiations were progressing very satisfactorily for the obtaining of the services of' a doctor at Runanga. He said he was confident that by the lime the present doctor’s resignation came into effect another doctor would bo available. He was confident that the possibility of any trouble would be avoided. Members of the Runanga District Medical Society discussed the position last Sunday. The general trend of their remarks was that if there was nc doctor in Runanga on August 20, the day the present doctor’s notice expires, there would be no work in the mines.
