800 PLANES USED
R.A.F. ATTACK ON REICH BOMBING OF BOULOGNE (Reed. Aug. 15, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 14. The Daily Express estimates that the Royal Air Force used at least 800 planes in the 24-hour attack on Germany and the occupied territories on Tuesday. A German military spokesman declared that the Royal Air Force’s lively activity was attributed to strong pressure from the Russians. Bad weather prevented any air activity over Germany last night. In the afternoon, Blenheim bombers, ascortecl by fighters, attacked the docks at Boulogne. Bombs were seen to burst on the target. An enemy fighter was destroyed by Royal Air Force fighters. The British losses were two fighters.
