DAY OF PRAYER
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 REQUEST BY THE KING (Reed. Aug. 15. 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 14. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Cosmo Lang, lias issued a statement that the King desires Sunday, September 7, to be observed as a national day of prayer. The Church of England does not propose to issue any new forms of prayer. The clergy have advised that they may use the forms issued in May. 1940.
