Constable A. McLellan who has been stationed in Wairoa for the last four years, has received notice of his transfer to take charge of the Coromandel police station. The appointments of LieutenantColonel (temporary colonel) Ivan S. Wilson to be honorary physician and surgeon-commander, and Dr. Harold K. Corkill to be honorary surgeon to the Governor-General, Sir Cyril Newall, were announced in the Gazette last night. Colonel J. L. Saunders relinquishes command of the Second Infantry Brigade, and is appointed fortress area commander, central military district, according to a Gazette notice issued last night. He is succeeded by Captain (temporary lieutenant-colonel) G. S. Keren, Manawatu Mounted Rifles, who is granted the temporary rank of colonel. Lieutenant (temporary major) A. W. Hudson succeeds Captain Heren with the temporary rank of lieutenantcolonel.
