RECORD FLIGHT
NEW TORPEDO-BOMBER BUILT IN AUSTRALIA (Reed. Aug. 13, 2.40 p.m.) BRISBANE. Aug. 13. Breaking all previous records m Australia, the first Bristol-Bcaufort torpedo-bomber assembled in the Commonwealth, yesterday flew from Melbourne to Brisbane in three hours 12 minutes, an average speed on the Ssomile trip of 270 miles an hour. Many more Beauforts are in course of assembly in Australia, most of which are in the final stage.
