PALMERSTON NORTH (Per Presß Association.) PALMERSTON N„ this day. Mr. J. M. Gordon, who was recently appointed as lieutenant-colonel to command the Ist Battalion, Wellington West Coast Regiment of Territorials, has been selected as the 'National candidate for Palmerston North, as a result of a ballot. The other nominee was Mr. M. H. Oram, a barrister. Mr. Gordon is also a member of the legal profession.
