MOTHER’S INQUIRY
MISSING R.A.F. MAN GISBORNE COMPANION [n a letter to the Herald, Mrs. M. C. Breckon, 14 Dignan road, Point Chevalier, Auckland, asks that a request be made to relatives of Gisborne men in the Royal Air Force for information regarding her son, Sergeantdilot G. Breckon, who recently was /eported missing on air operations aver France. The writer of the letter has received from the United Kingdom a pnotograph of three sergeant-pilots of a fighter squadron who were participating in daylight sweeps over France. One- of the trio is her son, one is a Havelock boy, and the third is from Gisborne, the name being unstated. “We hope that you may be able to locate the parents of the Gisborne boy, who might be in a position to give us some word and hope about our son.” writes Mrs. Breckon. “I should’ also like to forward to them a copy of the photograph, which, no doubt, they will value.” In accordance with Mrs. Breekon’s request, the editor of the Herald invites any Gisborne resident who may be able to assist the Aucklander’s mother to write to the address given in the opening paragraph.
