HOME GUARD CHIEF
RANK OF BRIGADIER (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Major-General R. Young, who has been appointed Director-General of the Home Guard, held the appointment of Dominion commander since the inauguration of the unit in 1940, and he now vacates this appointment for the new one of Director-General which carries with it the rank of brigadier.
