GIFT TO HAMILTON
The proposals of a committee set up to investigate the offer by Mrs. Allen Ball, of the old money order and post office savings bank buildings in Grantham street as a museum and art gallery, have been adopted by the Hamilton Borough Council. The committee recommended that the council accept the offer, .together with approximately £IOO, and that an agreement be concluded with the Arts Society giving the society control of (he premises, providing it with £3OO for improvements to the buildings and a subsidy of £l5O per annum to meet running expenses, and remitting the rates on the buildings.
