The Vichy news agency stated that after 40 years the Paris Heavyweight Club is the victim of food rationing and has been dissolved as a result of the disqualification of members, one by one, because their weight fell below 16st, the minimum required under the club rules. The oldest living member who used to weigh 19st., is now barely 14st. Members were famous for their escapades, one which was for all to board a bus until the platform scraped the ground whereupon all would get out and push.
