SAWDUST CIGARETTES
SYDNEY FIRMS DUPED PERFECT COUNTERFEITS (Reed. Aug. 11, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, Aug. 11. Thousands of sawdust-filled cigarettes have been bought by Sydney shops and hotels and sold to customeis in the past few weeks. The cigarettes are almost perfect counterfeits of a well-known brand. The tins show no trace of previous use and are wrapped in cellophane to make them look genuine. Salesmen offered the counterfeit cigarettes at a little below the normal price.
